Hi folks

My little van is chomping at the bit to head off across europe this year, anyone know anything about breakdown cover to cover europe?

I have been searching online, but cant seem to find anything but UK companies and car cover.

If you have motorhome cover from Dolmen the policy covers breakdown whilst abroad.

sadly not, my camper is too short to be classified as a camper van so it is taxed and insured as a commercial. i spoke with Dolmen but they were immovable on that point, sadly.

which actually limits out of ireland trips to 30 days at a time.

Be careful on the age thing though.

There have been several cases of ADAc members with old campervans being denied service as their 20 year old camper's value was deemed to be less than the cost of repair/towing and all they were offered was assistance with scrappage.
