Hey guy's i need your advice, i'm hoping to create a michael jackson tribute act, my vision is myself a mic some polished vocal's and maybe even an accompanied acoustic guitarist. I'm not looking to do the usual dress up as mj and dance like him but more of a simple Classy vocal tribute Of maybe about 10 song's or so. The thing is i'm wondering what is the best way to get this idea to reality? Anyone with any knowledge of this i'd greatly appreciate your guidance! I love to sing and I Love michael's music, I hope to have the finished act much more polished in performance than what's on my youtube page. The next step is to create this and get gig's, so anyone who has any input please let me know! Thanks

I guess the first thing you'd need is an accomplished guitarist/musician who can arrange the songs for guitar and perform them. I think a set of his songs could work very well on acoustic guitar, but you would need to be careful with song selection and would probably have to leave out a lot of the big hits - or at least perform them very differently.

10 songs is not much of a set - you're looking at performing for only 30-40 minutes? I guess it would be a start, but you'll probably need more in time.

That would probably work, but it would be WAY better to get drums and bass involved as well IMO.
