Just made a cup of tea and didn't bother stirring after adding the milk. It saved one wooden stirrer from the bin.

Do you find stirring makes a different? Obviously with coffee you will have stirred the coffee with the hot water. I am talking about the adding milk stage.

Do you stir after adding milk to your tea/coffee? 19 votes

    Yes - I stir

No - I let the milk and tea/coffee mingle naturally

I always stir. Taking 4 sugars in my tea or coffee you definitely need to stir. Its not fun drinking and then getting a gob full of sugar.

    I didn't vote. :)

It depends for me. If I'm adding sugar I'll stir to help it dissolve but that's very rare (never for tea). Otherwise I let convection do its magic. My wife likes her tea stirred with a spoon regardless. It's to do with temperature for her (unstirred tea = too hot).

Drink tea with no milk/sugar myself.

But if I'm making tea for others, I'd always stir after adding the milk.

If you can read this, you're too close!

I'll always stir, nothing worse than getting to the end of a cup of tea/coffee and a big blob of sugar sliding down your throat.:)

you never put an option for us who don't take milk or sugar. My vote is No, but not the No up there. A different No.

How 'bout if you add the milk first??

No need to be stirring then.
Milk first always by the way, I want none of that burnt milk thanks very much!

The thought of not stirring makes me shudder..maybe thats a bit OCD! But god, the blob of sugar is sometimes the best bit!! Especially when its unexpected! :D

Well, somehow I doubt very many people who take sugar do not stir. That would be silly. The OP seems to concern milk only (so says the poll).

I'm actually really not pushed either way (as someone who takes milk but no sugar). The thing is, I will stir if I have a spoon handy, but if I don't I won't. That means that, yes, I will stir tea, because I use a spoon to remove the teabag anyway. But no I will not stir coffee because the coffee (real coffee) has usually been stirred or whatever beforehand (with instant I would be using a spoon to stir, but with instant I need sugar anyway).
