Anyone know what is the best route to do this? Trains dont go to the port for the ferry.. The best I can think of is getting a plane from Thessaloniki To Corfu for €100 ( its takes ages tho) Anyone know a better way of getting there?

    Thanks

    Hi mate,

I am from Thessaloniki so i think i can help you :D

You dont want to fly from SKG to Corfu because of the ticket price?

What about renting a car for a day?
You will have the chance to see the extremely beautiful village of Metsovo and Ioannina city which is on the way to Igoumenitsa port.

Also i recommend to spend a day in Thessaloniki if you have time.

Ah, Thessaloniki is great. It merits two days, and a night out :)

When you say Macedonia, do you mean you're starting in Skopje, or are you talking about Greek Macedonia?

We will be staying in Skopje.. By the sounds of things there is a good road and a bus route to the coast.. Then get a ferry.. So it sounds like a bus will do..

unseen would you have a link to the greece bus company website?

There's 2 trains a day from Skopje to Thessaloniki - and the border crossing is much easier in the train than the bus. It's about a 6 hour journey, including about an hour and a half to cross the border, and you can buy the tickets in the station in Skopje, which is about half an hour's walk south of Macedonia Square.
