Metal Gear Online

Hey, only recently bought MGS4 for my ps3. Just wondering does anybody here play Metal Gear Online. I just tested it out and its seems great. I had to pay 12.99 for an addon for it. Seems to be loads of people playing it, just strange that i have not come across it in any topics here.

I play it the odd time. It really is very good, it just isn't as enjoyable for me as some other games as I usually end up in games with people much better than me who just have to look at me to kill me, so it's not that much fun. I always come crawling back though for some stealthy action!

i played it a crapload when it came out and it is a very good multiplayer game.

It is a great online experience, haven't played in a while though. SDM is class, imo.

If we could organise games just for boards members i think it would be great. Host a game with a password or something.

I really loved MGO. Have been thinking about playing it again for a while but new games keep coming out that i want .
Its bloody great, might have a go off it later after college.

I like this idea, I'd be up for it anyway. Maybe not this week or next week though with all the games coming out tomorrow. :pac: Next weekend maybe?

I had metal gear solid months ago but couldn't get MGO t wrk. really wanted 2 play it tho......mite get it again soon Any1 no if a trophy patch is ever gona come 4 it???

MGO is alot of fun but pickin it up now your surely gonna die alot alot people have mastered the shooting headshots from far distance , had to unistall mgs cause of bioshock 2 and other games that came out , the add ons are great plus when they do Survival and Tournament matches which are brilliant .. id be up for mgo boards match anytime set a date and im there

MGO is awesome and is massively overlooked. Team Sneaking is the only way to play it though. :cool:

did anyone have any problems installing it before tho cause dats why i nvr got to play MGO cause it wudnt wrk!

I never really clicked with MGO. I didn't find the game mechanic worked very well for an online game. Still, I guess it would have been a misstep to re-do the basic game play for the online mode.

Loved the catapult though!

nope never , if your usin the pvp server to download dont use the other one

Gonna try and get a game night going some time this week, currently I have an eye injury so no can do at the moment. Possibly Thursday or Friday. Should i stick with this post or create a new topic? Also, only negative thing about playing over psn is that no one ever uses a mic.

I just downloaded the update 1.34 for MGO and I tried pvp first but got nowhere and then tried HTTP(I thunk that's what it's called) and it worked much faster, must not be many people downloading it(if any)!!

probably not , pvp server was recommended when mgs first came out , i guess its because if everyone use the http server would mgo would of crashed . good thing you picked it up now , you can avoid konami remember 9 password rule :P

I played MGO a few times, it seemed cool. Getting set up took ages though...

Ya I'd love to give it a play through again. It took me ages to download everything and it was good but hard to get games and it's also very awkward controls for an online game
