I am going to get a new bike under scheme, will use bike for commute approx. 12km each way and for fitness, am also hoping to use bike at weekends etc. with a view 2 upping milage over time and getting into the sport, have 3 main options at the moment,

    1. Lapierre Audacio 200 E795
    2. Specialized Allez Sport E750
    3. Specialized Secteur Sport E800

Would really appreciate any opinions as I really don't know what the best option is for my requirements.

And the judges say *drum roll* .....

    *suspense building silence*.....

*more suspense building silence* (it's exciting, isn't it!?)....

Option 2 if you hope to do a few charity rides, sportives etc over time.

Option 3 if you don't have huge flexibility in your back (has slightly higher riding position than the Allez)

Option 1 if you don't mind getting less for your buck

*hint - option 2!!! - nice looking bike, best value for money of what you've listed*

What did you end up deciding on in the end whittey? Pretty much any of the choices listed would have done the job nicely but I'd still have given Giant first preference myself (though there isn't very much between it and the Allez sport truth be told)

Thanks for the info, are there any other better bike options available to me for around E1000.

Have a look at both the RIBBLE and PLANET X websites, you can get carbon frame bikes from both for around the €1000 mark.
