    We need some more info.

Is this scope for an air rifle? If so, what are you going to use it on: air or center/rimfire?

Air rifle scopes have to be tougher than center/rim fire scopes due to the recoil of springs - the second force after the shot that centerfire/rimfire rifles do not experience.

Although, this isn't as much of a problem as it used to be, it may be a consideration.

I always thought it was the opposite in relation to centrefire scopes vs air gun scopes. I dunno what a .50 cal would do to a airgunners scope;)

From what I have heard, air rifles can destroy a scope designed for a firearm. This is probably more true for older scopes than for new.

The logic is that in an air rifle where there is a spring, after the initial back-kick (for which scopes are designed to handle) the air rifle scope will kick in the forward direction, which will shatter the lenses of a scope not designed for an air rifle.

I have never seen it happen, however, it is worth considering if you are looking for an air rifle scope.
