I am starting a great job that has a 10 week notice period. It is a very long notice period (when I decide to change jobs again), do employers wait almost three months for a suitable candidate or am I walking myself into a corner with this one?

It really depends on what type of job is it.
Some jobs require a long notice period so that you can train your replacement before you leave.
If you haven't signed the contract yet you should enquire why they require such a long notice period and make your decision from there.
