Teaching after journalism...

Maybe, somebody with some experience or a little better in the know could help me out here....

Basically, I'm stuck on doing Journalism and New Media in UL next september, the course seems attractive to me personally, I'm aware journalism is tough going. I'd consider working in media as such. However, another option I'd like to keep open is to teach, particularly English. Now, from what I gather, doing this course would not leave me recignised by the teaching council (or whatever tis called), its not on their recignised list of degrees.

Something like new media and english might be a bit better suited- again I'm unsure. I should probably email the course directors.
