Setting up/looking to join a dark/alternative rock band in cork

I play the guitar and a little bit of synth(still learning), and I do a lot of programming/composing.

I'm looking to put together something influenced by Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Cinema Strange, Switchblade Symphony, Faith and the Muse that sort of thing. I also want to mix in a lot of different influences, everything from Trip Hop to Funky Blues to Metal as a lot of my favourite bands seem to do this and I find it hard to settle on one strict direction. I'm also very interested in the big fuzzy sounds of Smashing Pumpkins and the Queens/Kyuss and would like to work that in, as well as a decent degree of general Electronica.

I would be looking primarily for a bassist and second guitarist, especially if one can also play synth. I think for now it would be easiest to go with a drum machine/laptop, or a drummer with electronic drums. I would also be interested in working with other instruments such as saxophone or violin.

Someone with vocals would also be nice, especially if they were talented in going mad on stage. I intend to learn to sing at some stage, I could probably wing it for a punk band. Female vocals or backing vocals could be useful especially if doing any covers(though I'd be more interested in originals since most won't recognise the above music anyway, and I'm pretty naff at learning covers).

Though I say "dark/alternative", I would really like to mess around a bit, having a bit of punky, chaotic energy is always great. I don't like how a lot of "alternative" bands nowadays are a bit overpolished, I prefer having an interesting sound with lots of silly effects to good production, though it'd be very handy to have someone talented at that too as I lack in that area.

Anyone with any interest in this kind of project would be nice to hear from. Age range would be mostly early to mid 20s I guess, it's not a huge concern for me but it does seem to be for others.
