Pill or something serious?

Hi all. Reg poster. Normally I'm very up to speed with this sorta stuff. Sometimes even knowing my Gf's body better than her.

She is on Cileste the last 2 years or so. Her mother and aunties are also on it so was her GP's 1st choice.

Her friends birthday was coming up so she decided to run into another pack to put her period off. She does this every so often if she has an event coming up - as many girls do, plus her GP said it's safe.

Anyways. She started her next pack as planned but for some reason she still got her period. She does get bad period pains but she is in absolute agony this time and can't even manage moving out of bed. She is now moving into the 2nd strip of her pack and she is still bleeding. Basically she has ran into a pack rather than taking the break, still got her period and now 2 weeks after the day she menstruates she is still bleeding.

She never misses pills and is always careful about taking it so even I'm trumped as to what's wrong. She's going docs later but does anyone else have any experiences like this or had anything like this happen?

ouchies, you're poor gf. i've never had that happen myself, and i've often run two packs together when i have a hot date or something.
spotting is pretty common if you run two packs but dont think bleeding so heavy is. hope she gets on okay at the doctor and they sort it!
i wouldn't worry too much though, so long as shes getting checked out.

The thing about the female body is that even if you try to fool it with running into the second pack, it's still going to be expecting a withdrawal, which can mean some light bleeding or spotting.

I doubt it's serious, as people react to these things differently. I'd say have her ask her doctor about it just to be on the safe side.
