    just wondering if the bomb attack on newry and the recent attacks on police stations has put anyone off? i know one person personally who has.

    my view is that i could get hit by a bus tomorrow, you cant live life on "what if"

    You cant let these people alter how you live your life otherwise they win and they are not going to win! i dont think I can be more determined to join but I'm definately not detered from joining!!!

    Nope, totally the opposite! Personally I think (and I mean no offense by this) that if the recent attacks have put anyone off applying then maybe its for the best and this just wasn't for them at all. At the end of the day there's always a danger and risk to being a a police officer, just the dissident threat is in the limelight big time at the moment, im sure there's alot more dangers to the job they just don't get media attention.
