Creating a FB page for business-query

Hi, Do you need to have a facebook account as an individual person to have a facebook page and do the 2 have to be linked? I only want a page for a business but don't want a personal facebook page. Hope this makes sense...not v savvy!

You can create a fan page without linking it to your personal page. I think there is an option for a business account, but it'd probably be easier to make a personal page and then make a fan page.

If you aren't using FB regularly, it will be fairly difficult for you to get your head around what works/doesn't work with FB users.

I have seen a lot of businesses just set up a fb page for the business as if it were a personal account, adding loads of friends rather than having fans - maybe this could be an option for you if you don't want a personal page?
