    This week's SmackDown spoilers
    Matches taped for Friday's Smackdown:

    - The Superstars apron is still on so I think this was only for the live crowd. But, just in case, Batista came out and said that he's heading to Raw. Teddy Long came out and said that he can go but tonight he will defend the WWE Title vs. Edge.

    - After that, they changed over the ring apron.

    - Chris Jericho cut a promo saying he's the best and didn't deserve what happened on Monday. Edge comes out and talked about how he's always spearing Jericho. Jericho hit Edge with the mic but Edge speared him again.

    - Dolph Ziggler defeated John Morrison and R-Truth in a Triple Threat to qualify for MITB. Morrison hit Starship Pain on Truth but Ziggler pulled Morrison out and covered Truth.

    - Michelle McCool defeated Mickie James to win the Women's Title. Vickie Guerrero was the referee. She slapped James while she had McCool rolled up and McCool hit a head kick to win.

    - Kane defeated Drew McIntyre with a kick to the head while Drew was on the ground to qualify for MITB. Drew had cut a promo before the match saying he'd stay undefeated. I guess not.

    - The Miz came out and cut a promo saying that he and The Big Show need opponents for WrestleMania. He told Teddy Long to work on that. Long came out and said that since Show isn't here tonight will be singles action. It's Miz vs. Edge tonight.

    - Shelton Benjamin defeated CM Punk to qualify for MITB. Rey distracted Punk, who turned around into Paydirt.

    - Edge defeated The Miz with The Spear. It was a good back and forth match.

    - Edge said that he doesn't want to wait. He wants Batista for the dark main event now!

    - Edge defeated Batista by DQ when Jericho hit The Codebreaker. Matt Hardy, CM Punk and Kane all also hit finishers on each other for fun I guess.

Wow, shocked that Drew's undefeated streak is gone, and I wonder what they are doing with Jo Mo now seeing as he is not in MITB?
I don't really understand why Kane is always in MITB either.

Michelle been champion should warm everyones hearts.

Why do dark match main events always have half a dozen run ins?

I'd say it's safe to assume WWE will be wishing Mickie James well in her future endeavours soon.

Kane is there i guess to basically make sure the match goes smoothly, making sure everyone is in position etc because of the amount of young inexperienced guys usually in the match. Think Finley had a similar role last year or the year before.

So Miz and Big Show need opponents for Mania..........

Wonder would there be any chance they'd do something with Danielson here? Didn't Danielson mention really wanting Regal as his mentor on NXT?

Danielson and Regal as tag champions would be an absolutely BRILLIANT way to get Danielson over as a legit star.

    MAKE THIS HAPPEN VINCE.

I think they may go for a celebrity angle their, its a total hunch I admit, but I wouldn't rule it out.

So MITB is Christian, Ziggler, Kane and Shelton. Christian has to be the favorite so far, if they don't decide to add Hunter or Sheamus then I cant think of anybody else who is more /over/talented to win it.

I was thinking about this and they could do Miz/Show vs Morrison/Shaq quite easily.

Though the Observer this week is leaning towards no celebrity involvement this year, they reckon they'll get a big buyrate out of the Bret storyline as well as Taker/HBK II, and Edge/Jericho and Cena/Batista as two strong world title matches.

Have to say with MITB and a possible Rey/Punk Hair vs Mask match, this Mania is looking to be the best in quite a few years.

They usually build their celebrity angles before now though, so i doubt that anything will happen in that regard.

i would put the miz v danielson for the us title at wm

i would have put r truth and jo mo for sure in mitb unless they have having a match themselves

    you dont see that much

    edit

ouch that was a nasty fall for Dolph

    edit

    I ****ing hate Todd Grisham

he was commentating on the McIntyre v Kane match and McIntyre did a move similar to the zigzag and Todd calls McIntyre, Ziggler
    wtf like

I thought the Vickie falling out of the ring thing was pretty funny, and then Layla massaging her butt. I'm really not a McCool fan though, Mickie really didn't get much of a reign.

I wish they would put Kane over for once, rather than just having him as a voice of experience. =/

    i couldn't agree more.

after all the moaning that's usually about, i am loving the build and anticipation so far.

Or they just have Showmiz v Jo-Mo and Truth.

Miz v Bryan for the US title would be a good post mania option.

I took it as a mistake that shows he cares about the product myself. The opposite of "Summerfest". He's a much better commentator with Striker these days from his "MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN event" Heat voice.

"Well I'm waiting for you to say it was a beautifully officiated match or something asinine like that."
"That's because I hang around with you."
