My laptop(dell inspiron 1525) wont charge but it also doesnt loose power when plugged in. the charger isnt in great condition but seeing as tho the power doesnt go down im guessing its not the charger? Wondering did i manage to set something to make it like this?
    any help be great, thanks

It's because the charger isn't identifying itself as a Dell one, so the firmware refuses to allow the battery to charge. Apparently it's a *safety* feature.

I have a similar problem... but can usually jiggle the plug into making it charge.
