An achievement of HUGE proportions. The fact that he is the only person to do it in 4 decades of ODI speaks volumes about this feat.

sure no amount of superlatives can be used in tribute to Sachin but as they were saying in commentary, how fitting that he was the first to achieve the feat.

Not to mention he's done it against SA, one of the best teams in the world right now.

Just proves to further solidify his status as the greatest batsman to play the game since Bradman and if I dare be so bold stake a claim for being the best batsmen to ever play the sport.

And that it was done against quality opposition, not against Bangladesh or one of the Associate nations (or England ;))

Great achievement, was always wondering when someone was finally going to do this. His form has really come back in the past couples of years.

There was never really a slump in form throughout his career. He hasn't been playing in 20-20's but apart from that he's been one of the most consistent performers

2006-2007ish he wasn't playing great, certainly not like he'd done before. Due to his age and the fact he'd been going since he was 16 I thought his career was starting to tail off. Definitely not the case.

That year at Yorkshire made all the difference;)

I can remember a disastrous tour of Newzealand and the World Cup. And then there was a run where got out in 90's without getting onto triple figures. But apart from that he's always been consistent. Infact, you'd be hard pressed to find a full series that he's played in without scoring a century.

Well, I think there were a couple of seasons where Sachin was plagued by an elbow injury that almost ended his career. I believe that's what people talk about when they refer to his "dip" in form. Though he is well and truly over that for a couple of years now.

Watching his innings today, you could see that he has scored in excess of 150 in ODI's in three occasions since last year (including today). The 175 against Australia recently and the 164 a few months before that ( can't remember who against). He's really batting at his best right now. Consecutive centuries in his last 4 tests as well I believe, thoguh two came against Bangladesh.

Edit: I also remember that string of matches where he got out in the 90s. He was actually DESPERATELY UNLUCKY in those games. I think he was out in the 90s in test matches something like 8-9 times in that year, and the vast majority of those were incorrect decisions. LBW's which should never have been and caught behinds when the ball had missed the bat (according to replays).

He's a joy to watch when batting and it speaks volumes about his fitness that despite suffering from cramps he stayed and ran as quick as ever till the end and was back in the field a few minutes later..

A true legend, it'll be a sad day when he retires..

Cricket is my religion and there is only on GOD-
    Sachin.
    Sachin R Tendulkar
its been almost 20 years watching him since he smashed than all time great spin bowler Abdul Qadir (Pakistan) for more than 20 run in one over, since than he never looked back.

Anyone remember his ining in Sharjah against Australia?
Shane Warne could not get rid of that night and Sachin came in his dreams all the time since than, so much destroyer he was there,

    Salute to GOD,

It really is truly fitting that he's the first to make it to 200. A true servant of the game and a great sportsman too, he personifies all that is good about cricket.

    Just watching the vids.

He really looked under the kosh in the 40+ overs.
There was a close up of him at around over 43 and he is grimacing and breathing a bit hard. Then he just flicks one off the pads for four.

    The mental strength.....
    The man is amazing.

I grow watching his first matches against pakistan series especially (some famous pakistani spinner) hitting sixes even i started playing cricket (stil i am ****e though).. lol.

He is the greatest ambassdor for Cricket game not just for India. No controversies, clean image kept his head high just keep scoring all the time 20 yrs of cricket. Probably the greatest cricketer of all time.

Just only slight critism is despite playing for 3 world cups they never won world cup. Of cource its 11 members have to play. Not just one person game.

He Deserved This Ultimate Credit!!!! Awesome!!! But I am a hudge supporter of SA. Even though He is the greatest cricketer in the World..
