Lease Assignment

Similar to the thread entitled Purchasing Lease I'm going through a similar process to the poster on that thread.

I was about to sign up to a lease assignment until the tenant also went into liquidation.

Can such a lease also be obtained by the liquidator?

There seems to be an awful lot of this type of thing going on.

Regardless of the above, I'd sign nothing until the law is changed in relation to UPWARDS only rent/leases.

Do not take on any Lease assignment. Why did the Tenant go into liquidation?

Wass it beacause of the location/footfall/rent etc.

Try to get a new lease with a break clause and much better terms from the Landlord

IMO get more information on the Town/Centre from Retail Excellence
