First you need to see if there is a demand for this. Who is the target market, people with houses big enough to hold a marguee. Then people who would want the hassle of having a party in their own house. Then it's only for a few occasions in a persons life. Too small for wedding etc, so it's parties anniversaries etc.

Pricing is based on lots of factors.
    - How much it will cost you to supply the stuff
    - How much the competition is charging
    - What position you are placing yourself, high end or cheap and cheerful

A survey on boards will not help I'm afraid. You need a better more targeted for of market research. This is a niche area and difficult to collect data on.

thanks ken. yeah more or less cheap n cheerful as people are not going to the pub as much and having alot of parties at home with the cheap booze ect its just going to be a service offering that extra space at home were they can go into a heated marquee.

Maybe try and do a promotion with an off-license chain. Have a party, "need extra room", "Irish summer - soaking wet" hire a marquee.

You get to rent the marguee, the offie gets to sell the booze so win win.
You will use the off license to have a display marketing your product. It's about selling the idea of having a party at home and the fun and massive cost savings.

    Hi Pat,

Might have a promotional opportunity for you that will take only time, not money!

I'm on the committee of a motor racing club that is launching a new big series in Ireland this year. We are looking for exactly what you are offerring - a marquee for the race weekends for our drivers and sponsors to hang out, have a drink sandwhich etc.

If you were willing to provide a marque for approx 50 people at 6 events in Mondello Park and one at the Phoenix Park throughout the summer we could offer you advertising space on all the race cars links from our website and you would also be credited in a magazine that is running a two page spread on every race. You would also be in a paddock full of potential clients. The Phoenix Park races attract almost 50k people alone!

Sorry only meant that if you were about to embark on a new project
would you want the world and his brother to see all the in and outs of your plans at this stage?
