Anyone any info on this? Thinking of making the trip this year. I met one of our jockeys that has rode in it a good few times and he says there is great craic there.
It's on on the 10th Oct this year.

Is that the Czech race with the insane fences?

Yeah, seemingly its a couple of hours from Prague. A recording of it a few years ago here.

I say that would be great craic to travel to!

Charle Mann is very fond of that race and tends to send one over for it occasionally. Won it a few years ago on a "Its a snip" which he rode himself!

    Wow, what a race!

It looks like "The Running Man" for horses. That ditch is a killer!

That's a great race - would love to have a horse to ride in it.

Watching it really shows why the Irish jockeys and horses have the reputation they do - if the horses jumped the banks like that over here they'd be left for dead. And it also shows how good our amateur riders are, too.

Those horses weren't very big. Put Joncol or Notre Pere next to them and they'd look a different species

Size hasn't really got much to do with ability to jump banks. My two point-to-pointers, one of which is 17hh and the other 15.2hh, would both outjump the horses in that race over banks, and the smaller horse would be much better than the bigger horse.

Looks like he thought he had reached the line, then realised he got it wrong and just made it!
