Put a film on itunes

    any one able to let me know how do you put a dvd on itunes, so i can put it on the iphone?

    They don't make it easy for you for some reason! You'll have to download a few converters, one to rip the dvd and another to convert it. I find that Red Kawa's Videora is the best and easiest converter and it also reccomends a decent free dvd ripper as well. Forget it's name but if you download Videora, there's an option in the menu that talks you through it.

    The reason you can't rip a DVD like you can a CD is because unlike CDs DVDs are digitally protected, and breaking that protection is against the law in many countries, especially under the US's DMCA. Plenty of third party apps that will allow you to do it though.

    I use this:

    Its 30 dollars and its just two clicks. Decodes and rips in one go. No fluten around with different decoders and converters.

    Put in the DVD, launch the program, select the full length film (not the chapters) and click rip. Takes about half of the length of the film to rip it.
