    OK,

I have my friends 120GB ipod classic, she asked me to put some music on it.

Itunes has decided it does not recognise it anymore, when the ipod is on it tells me there is no info on it, although the memory is being used.

In "my computer" i can see all the files, but i cannot move them to my pc as i dont have space.

There is 110GBs of files on the ipod, losing them is not an option, so i cant format/restore.

Can anyone tell me a way of sorting this issue without losing the files??

easiest way might be to create another windows account, open itunes, sync the phone to new itunes a/c, add new music, re-sync
i haven't done it, but it should work....in theory !

I had the same problem happened to my a few years ago. I basically had a new laptop and didn't want to lose all the music since i'd be connecting it to a new itunes.

What i did was Used a program called sharepod http://www.getsharepod.com/

NOW I HAVEN'T USED THIS PROGRAM SINCE 2008
but if it's half as good as what it used to be then i'd recommend it.

It has a number of features. You'll find them out of the website.

    Good Luck With it

Was just gonna recommend Sharepod as well, very effective in getting your music without going through iTunes.
