Photoshop web stencils

Anyone ever use a stencil that shows poistions of elements in the design/mock up stage?
any links to some resources? been looking at OmniGraffle and looks useful, im looking to streamline my design process and think these might help.

What process do you follow to design the initial look of the site?

Photoshop's rulers will allow you to pretty much do this.

Yes iv used the ruler function but is there a faster more effiecient way?

i like the look off the 960 grid system.

Hi Skelliser, I'm not 100% sure but do you mean wireframing? Omnigraffle as you mentioned is useful, especially with the stencils from konigi.com. Hope that helps.
