    Hey Guys,

I have a Fender Mustang Bass i picked up second hand recently. its a lovely short scale that i really like.
Problem its action is all over the place and it sounds a bit muddy.

I want to give this one a chance to see if it can be improved and was looking for some recommendations on where is a good place to get it set up properly.

Should i go to a luthier or are there still shops around that will do a good job with this??

Any suggestions would be really appreciated...

Also what would one expect to pay for this?

Think there is a guy who does it for X music. He comes in like 3 days a week or something. Its not too hard to do aslong as the neck is in reasonable order.

It's fairly easy to do a setup yourself. Much cheaper too.
Check out this setup guide. If you have any questions, just ask! :)

In terms of the muddiness, have you changed the strings since you got it? Old strings could be a factor of this.

    Thanks for the feedback lads.

Probably gonna try a Luthier in the city center as they can be a bit quicker getting the job done..
Now to find one...And a new pack of strings

There is a guy across the road from musicmaker who does repairs, might be worth a look? Think the shop is just called guitar repair?
