Watersports/sailing/powerboating holiday abroad?

    Hi all,

I've been looking through google & have come up with a few options which involve watersports in Portugal.

What I want is the option to dip in and out of the activities as we choose - so not a 100% sailing holiday or somewhere that we have to pay upfront for activities every day and then miss out if we decided to lie by the pool for a day instead.

In particular, I'm interested in maybe doing a 2-day powerboating course with certificate at the end - something similar to this: http://www.martinnorthey.net/rya-power-boat-courses

I may even end up doing more research in to here, but just in case there's someone else out there who has done a similar holiday, I said I'd post.

So basically I'm looking for somewhere that has watersport activities available all year around, where I can maybe do a powerboating course with an English speaking instructor & where there's a nice beach to relax in after a day's activity.

Suggestions? Where to avoid? All appreciated!

I'd recommend asking the same question over here as these guys will have plenty of experience of the kind of thing you're after
