Was doing a little spring cleaning at the weekend and found a few old cassettes. One of them was this. I had not listened to it in years, but I remember it was the first "Dance" music album I got.

I decided I would stick it in the stereo for old times sake and I was pleasantly surprised!! I have not been able to stop listening to it since. Some of the tracks on it are amazing. Hard to believe that the album is now 15 years old!!! I think it is as good listening to it today as it was 15 years ago.

My favourite tracks on the album are The Pump Panel – Ego Acid (from the nightclub scene in the first Blade) and The Aloof – Drum. I need to turn the volume down a little though at work!!

The only other that sounds as good now as when it was released that come to my mind is the original Leftfield album. Anyone else have any other examples?

What a classic album. Loved Amphetamine on it. Just a pure belter....
But on an equally nostalgic note, found this somewhere

link to NRGex site with all the old tunes from Warren K, Liam Dollard and Pat Hyland. They don't sound as good, but brings back some memories:)

    Amazing mix.

The Pump Panel - 'Ego Acid' was not in Blade though. It was their remix of 'Confusion' that was the track in that film.

Yep, orange theme to amphetamine is incredible. I'll never forget the first time i heard it. What a "Holy fúck" moment :) .
I think cd2 beats the first but either one is classic dance music.

Yeah stunning mix - serious memories for me too of this. Haven't listened to it in ages actually, must dig it out.

this was one of my first dj mix purchases, everything before that was of the 'rave generation' type :o
After all these years it's still a great album, Cygnus X topping it.
