I'm going away for the weekend and i'm wondering can anyone recommend a good kennel where we can have him board while we are away. Our Shih Tzu is used to being around people most of the time and I'm not sure how he'll get on if we are away. Can anyone recommend a place where he'll get lots of attention as he's so used to it. :)

Woofys, just outside Clane, is supposed to be very good. I haven't used them myself but I have heard very good things about them.

I use the Canine Country Club, just outside Sallins. E15/ night, they provide food if they are over 6 months I think and the dogs seem to get a good bit of time out of the kennels during the day running around the field.

We have our dog booked in there for next week (for the first time). They seem very nice :)

They are in Meath. Really great Kennels and own a Shih Tzu themselves! So they know the breed.

    2 options for you
1-http://www.caninecountryclub.ie/ its in Sallins-about 10 mins from Celbridge, not used their kennel facilities but got my dogs groomed there & they were fantastic.
2-place called Precious Paws in Newcastle, got the leaflet through the door & it seems to specialise in 'indoor' dogs so basically home boarding for dogs & they live in the house with the family, i will deffo be giving them a try next!

    Hi there

When I go away and can't get anyone to look after my hairy babies I put them into Hollygrove Stud and Kennels - its on the way to Lyons Village, just outside Newcastle. Nigel and Vivienne are lovely and dogs always seem to be fine after a stay there. Plenty of room for them and they also do grooming.
