    Hi,

some scumbags buckled my front wheel and I was wondering if it was worth trying to get it straightened out or should I just cut to the chase and buy a new wheel?

    Thanks....

    Sorry to hear about that.

It really depends on how badly bent it is. If it's only very slightly deformed then it might be recoverable but if the nasty sods have been jumping up and down on it then it might not be possible to fix it.

Maybe post a pic if you have one and then I'm sure someone will tell you quick enough.

If its a wire wheel and has a double "s" buckle forget it, rim is stretched beyond repair. If you have good hubs it might be worth lasing a new rim other than that a new wheel would be the cheapest option.

Take it to a local bike shop, they will advise on whether it is recoverable.

Thanks for the advice - I'll drop down to the bike shop and see what they think but I suspect its a new wheel.

I'd understand (but not condone :)) someone stealing a bike but willfull destruction I just can't get my head around....

they probably werent able to steal it so if they cant have it .... they'll damage it (typical scum behaviour) ...I dont even own a bike but just hate this lack of respect amongst an element of society.
