Hi All - recently purchased a new house and putting in a new kitchens o require all new appliances. Been looking around and heard about TEKA. I know they are huge on the continent and the fact they have the money to sponsor Real Madrid must mean they are pretty big but just wondering if anyone had experience with them?

I have a budget of €2k for built-in eye level electric double oven, integrated 50/50 fridge freezer, integrated 60cm dishwasher, integrated microwave and a 4 ring gas hob. I'm looking to go as energy effecient as possible also. I'm not opposed to any brand but want quality! The Teka products I have been quoted come in at €2k. I may go up north though if I could save on them.

    Thanks all!

    Hello,

yes I've heard of the brand, didn't know they're big on continent and they sponsor teams etc. But the big question is who are the service agents for them here??!! And have they been the agent for how long?
Cos in my experience lots of the brands service agents have been changing hands several times over the years and its a headache driving to an agent to be told they changed X brand and some other company took it now .

Find that out first before you go buying. Maybe some know it all is going to lecture me on the above point but I've had several different brands and I know what I'm talking about so if you're going to source "white goods" outside Irl--take a deep breath and ask yourself is it worth it!

I had a Teka oven and I don't know who the agents are but I can find out by tomorrow and post up. Anyway when I got a repair man to fix it, he laughed when he saw it and told me to buy another make when it calves next time! Which I gladly did!

    good luck!

Have to agree with this.I didnt even know you could get teka in Ireland anymore.Im certain there is no service agent and getting spare parts will be a nightmare.not great quality at all. Have you looked at Nordmende? They are good value and have a good warranty.service is looked after by Nordmende themselves. I have nothing to do with the company but have been impressed with the product

if you contact Kitchen Accessories ltd-01-4136400. They are in citywest in Dublin. They are Nordmende distributors, if you go direct to them, you will get trade prices

I agree with above on Nordmende - the 3 year warranty and the fact that service is based in Ireland is a bonus, however Kitchen Accessories do not sell direct, they only give trade prices to retailers. You can go in and look at the appliances by appointment, but you have to order them through an electrical or kitchen retailer.
