I'm interested to know what sorts of combinations people have chosen for Comparative Study 2011, specifically for H.L classes? Am looking for inspiration! Thanks :)

I have my class doing Sive, Casablanca and How Many Miles to Babylon. Am only doing CC and the theme of friendship, I hate GVVP. They work together well as they have different enough worlds to be interesting, yet enough similarities like violence, hierarchies and gender roles to work together. The theme is fairly easy as well - forbidden relationships, sacrifice and 3rd person obstacles.

The LC forum will give you lots of examples of what other schools are doing.

Also there is a great book out called The Comparative Study. It gives some combinations including notes on them with sample answers too.

Will be doing 'How Many Miles to Babylon' 'A Doll's House' and 'The Constant Gardener'. Probably going to do theme and cultural cotext.
