The first putter I ever owned was a bullseye when I was a young lad. Would like to get one but havnt seen them around for a long time. Anyone know where sells them?

For those of you who dont know, the bullseye putter looks like this:

Nice little putter. I'd say your best bet is to try the pro shops in the clubs around where you live. They generally have older clubs that places like McGuirks woldn't have.

Thanks for the reply's lads. There are some on ebay alright but im always a bit weary buying from there. I know Scotty Cameron do a bullseye putter so maybe McGuirks might be able to order it in for me.

    Cheers.

Have one but havent used it in many years. Am I mixing it up with something else but I think we used to call them 'goose neck' putters ?

Are goose neck putters not to old school wooden shafted blade putters? Not sure tbh.

Scotty Cameron has made a few versions of the Bullseye putter, they differ from the original Reuter/Achusnet version in that they are made from stainless steel rather than brass. It is a few years since they were in the current line up of putters made by SC so I don't know if you could get one new.

I got mine second hand from the English website www.golfbidder.co.uk It cost 91 pounds sterling and around 10 pounds for shipping. I have also bought an iron set from the same site and found them excellent to deal with. They don't often have Bullseye putters for sale and they go quickly when they are put up so if you have a fancy for one you would need to check in regularly, I think they might have a service where you can request a notice when an item you are interested in becomes available.

I got the putter version American Classic III, heavy flange, it is 33" long with a leather wrap grip. The putter was described as being in good condition, in fact it was like new. I have it about a year and a half and I love it, the feel is wonderful and using it has certainly improved my putting:)

You can find more info re the SC putters on the Scotty Cameron website.

Thanks for the reply. I actually picked one up in an outdoor market a few months ago for an absolute pittance. It's an old Dunlop Blueflash. I left it in coca cola for a few hours soon after I got it and it helped restore it a bit. Its brass and there is a lovely feel off it and i've just put a new YES! grip on it. I havnt used it on the course yet but it's performing well on putts across the carpet on my landing. :)

The old brass ones look classic. Hope it works for you and you sink lots of putts.

My da used to have a John Letters Golden Goose putter, must have a root around for it. Was quite heavy from what i remember. Definitely not wooden shafted anyway

On first read, I thought you meant you dropped it into the Coca Cola factory on the Naas Rd to get refurbished... :o

Me not so much with the smarts today....
