BF moving home for good

hi All, ok here's the scenario, been with Polish BF for almost 2 years and am head over heels in love with him. Problem is, since the start he's always told me he wouldn't be living in Ireland for the rest of his life, that he would someday be moving back to Poland.
I realise this was my own fault, i went into this knowing full well it wouldn't go anywhere... it started off casual, he chased me for ages and i had no interest.
2 years later, the wheel has turned and i'm smitten.
He's just told me he's moving home for good in June, that his parents are getting old, his dad isn't in the best of health and he wants to be there for them. I'm 28, he's 30.
How the hell do i handle this!!?? there is no question of me moving over there, for both financial reasons, language barrier, and i've just landed the dream job i've always wanted.
I'm half thinking of weaning myself off him by starting to spend more time away from him but anytime i do i just miss him like crazy.
Should i just cut all contact now to save me getting my heart stamped on completely in june!! :(
really don't know what to do :( Any and all advice appreciated thanks.

If you don't honestly see yourself moving to Poland to be with him be fair to him and tell him so as not to waste any more of each other's time. Did he ask you to move back there with him?

    Unfortunately this is life.

If you're not going to move to Poland and he's moving back there to be around for his elderly parents then you've reached an impasse.

Language barriers can be overcome. New jobs can be found.

It's just a case of is he the one you want to be with that you're willing to up and move to another country, knowing you might never come back. It's a big ask and normally it never comes up in a relationship but it has in yours. If you can't see yourself doing it then it's best to accept that when he leaves it's over between you two.
