Sports Council Grant

The High Performance Grants were released by the Irish Sports Council last week with cricket getting an increase of 50k to 60k.

Does anyone else feel this is an absolute disgrace considering the following:

Ireland has qualified for the last four World Cup competitions (including this years T20 and next years WC in the four) beating test nations in the process.

Irish hockey has been allocated 425,000, yet the mens and womens teams consistently fail to qualify for world tournaments. Granted playing numbers are quite big in Leinster, they are low in the North and extremely low in Munster and tiny in Connaught.

Clay Pigeon shooting has increased from 60k to 70k and canoeing receives 190,000.
