    Why have they only discovered this now? Seems pretty late. Or is it nigh on impossible to get a good sample without the second jaw clamping your hands off?

    It does seem strange that this was only discovered recently. I know many invertebrates like the polychaetes have a 2nd set of jaws, but does anyone know of any vertebrates other than this eel? I think its really interesting.

    was diving a few years ago in Canaries, and there was a moray eel living in a wreck where we went....the are amazing creatures
