You have to turn off sim card pin request in settings. Insert your sim again and it should be fine.

the iphone isnt ment to be unlocked! there are many many warnings about unlocking it all over the internet, that if you unlock it it will be faulty. Sorry to say but it may well be useless as a phone now.

    Rubbish.

well actually no Wolflikeme its a fact. Any of the iphone generations that have been released to date have had the same problem of becoming obsolete or broken after unblocking has occurred. Maybe they'll release one in the future that can be.

Any of them? Then how come all the iPhones I've unlocked work perfectly fine?

Besides, it's actually very difficult to 'brick' an iPhone. You can solve practically any issue with a restore.

Thousands and thousands of people are using custom unlocked iPhones.

Collegegal clearly doesn't know what she's talking about. The iPhone can be restored, like you've said Wolflikeme.

Take out your sim. Hard reset the phone. Go into settings. Turn off pin request. Save it. Hard reset again. Insert sim.

Hard reset - Hold down the power button and then hold the circular button.

You don't know what you're talking about and are being of no help to the OP.

I've unlocked iPhones. And as I said plenty of people are using them.

This only proves that something may have hit a blip in unlocking in which case the Irishglass can restore the phone and unlock it again. I've had to do that only once though.

    Did you use blacksn0w OP?

Just turn on the iPhone - it doesn't require a sim to get into it...

I think it's pin code request or something like that in settings and general I think. Not sure of the exact phrasing. I don't own an iPhone anymore so can't check exactly what it says but, its should be something along those lines...

Collegegal, you appear to have misunderstood the "dire" warnings on the internet regarding bricking your iPhone. It can be rendered useless, but it can also be gotten back to a working state quite easily.

So don't believe all the hysteria Apple propaganda things you read on the internet. :D

If it is SIM lock, why not put the sim into a different phone , remove the SIM lock and then put it back into the iPhone.

You can then put a Passcode lock onto the phone when tis working

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

What method did you use to unlock your phone?

What version Firmware / Software is on the phone?

Is it an iPhone 3G or the 3GS?

i used ultrasn0w to unlock because blacksn0w kept bricking my phone and Im using an 3g with 3.1.3 firmware

    OP should read this..

    http://www.redmondpie.com/download-f0recast-for-iphone-3.1.3-jailbreak-unlock-9140457/

seems like you are in the same windows as everyone else, if your bl isn't the new one you may downgrade to 3.1.2 and then unlock it again, but otherwise you will have to wait for the new release of the unlock software( probably due this week)
