mac virus removal

    While I have been told that macs are more or less virus free/resistentI believe I have a virus/trojan/worm or whatever they are called on my macbook. CAn anyone recommend any good free virus scan/removal software.


    Any and all help apreciated

    You could have a look in the Mac forum but a quick google shows a few scanners you could check out, ClamXAV seems popular.

    HI,

    THanks for the replies guys.

    I have tried clamxav and nothing is coming up on it however I keep getting a blank popup with upperup in the address line.I googled it and apparently its from a porn site however as this is a work mac I can assure you that I have not been downloading anything like that. I have my own laptop at home for that!!!

    Any other suggestions would be appreciated
