I haven't first hand experience with wireless / computer link up controls, I've a far grasp on most other controls. All depends on how expensive cost of install is, cant go wrong with a programmable timer, these days their is options of multiple program's for different seasons throughout year, not sure when you'd require the need to turn on heating via txt, saying that its your system so all is possible.

Might be better to have a look at weather compensating control, heating will work from outside temp only, heating pretty much works by itself after initial set up.
