    Hi Guys,

I can't seem to call certain local numbers (01) on the UPC phone, randomly I get the following message "The number you have dialed has not been recognised"

I can call these numbers no problem with my eircom line, any ideas?

    Thanks

Is it only certain numbers or all numbers?

Try plug out the modem for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Give it a few minutes and see if they work then. If not, best bet is giving their Tech Support a call with the specific numbers

    Hi,

It's just certain numbers, I can ring mobiles etc no bother.

    I'm puzzled!

As above, best bet is to try reboot it and then if that doesnt work give tech support a buzz

Do you have the UPC phone service?

Nope, a friend does. If he has ever had an issue a quick reboot usually resolves it.

Looks like I'll have to get on to the support, the reboot didn't help. Is the UPC phone/voip service generally ok?

UPC got back to me early this morning, they resolved the problem at their end in about 10 minutes...they even rang me back to confirm that all was working. They seem to be getting a bit better at the customer care end.....they couldn't have gotten any worse I suppose.
