how effective is physiotherapy for long term chronic pain

    hi there , to give a brief synopsis , i had an accident nearly two and a half years ago and have been in severe pain ever since , i have had pain injections ( nerve blocks ) and been on various pain killers to try and ease my sufferring , was talking to someone recently who kept singing the praises of a particular phsio , claimed they were an absolute miracle worker , my questions is , do physios have a role when it comes to pain managment , my pain specialist has never once asked my whether or not i am seeing one or ever recomended that i do

    It really depends on what the problem is and every case is different. If you're attending a pain specialist though it is likely that they would already have referred you if they thought you'd benefit from physio.

    in my case it made me worse, as it had worn discs working overtime, i am still paying for it, but then again, one mans meat, is another mans pison.
