Why is there so much difference between car prices on carzone.ie?
Like thake this 2000 Micra selling for 2750eur
    http://www.carzone.ie/search/Nissan/Micra/1.0-GX-5/201006196854521/advert?channel=CARS

and this 1999 Micra for 1500eur
    http://www.carzone.ie/search/Nissan/Micra/1.0-GX/201005196783612/advert?channel=CARS

Like I see the 2000 micra has done a few thousand less miles than the 1999 one, its got longer NCT and probably a few more options, but does that really make it 1250eur more expensive than an year older Micra with a few less bits? Like its a Micra and not like a BMW with all sorts of kits and options attached to it. And there is a similar story with almost all cars.

So why is there so much difference in prices between similar cars??

Is there any great advantage in getting the more expensive 2000 micra than the modest 1999 one?

Thats the effect of name your price, people wont logically pick an average price by trawling through carzone, they`ll just go with what they think either from a small random sample or what there mates might say.

Yeah, but these are sold by dealers... don't they do like some sorta evaluation before their price their cars? or they think people are stupid and will buy it thinking expensive means better...

Depends on what they bought it for, how much discout they're willing to give off and what they spent on it, it's not always the cheaper one that will sell first.

Just look at the price of mercs and bmws.

A new E class 200cdi can be brought in for about 37k all vrt and vat paid

A new F10 bmw 5 series will be the same price.

Look at what the jokers are charging for 08 520's and e classes.

Who in their right mind are buying these cars?

Welcome to capitalism. People will naturally try to get the maximum for their car whether it's a trade or private deal.
A car is worth what somebody is willing to pay for it.

OP what exactly is your question, do you think all cars of the same make, model and year should be the same price?
