JB and working part time.

I read everything on citizensinformation, but didn't find answers to few questions.

I'm on Jobseekers Benefit for last 2 months, and got the oportunity to work part time - something between 1 and 4 days per week, each day between 4 and 12 hours.

    1. I know I can work max 3 days to still get JB. Is the week from Monday to Sunday, or is it considered Thursday to Wednesday, as I'm gettin JB for that periods?

    2. If I work 2 days in a week, will I get JB for remaining 4 days or 3 days?
The same, if I work 3 days, will I get JB for 3 days or 2 days? How much would it be, if normally for 6 days it's 196€.

    3. Does it change anything how much hours I work per day? Or is it like no matter if I work 4h or 12h per day, and I don't get JB for that day? Does it mean, that someone could work 3 days 13h per day (total 39h per week) and still get JB for the rest of the week? (thats not my case, but just wondering).

    Thanks for your replys ;)

    It's Thurs-Wed.

If you work 2 days, you will get JB for 4 days.
The amount will be (196/6) * the amount of days you're getting paid for.

The number of hours makes no difference. So yes, it's really unfair if day 4 (in your case, Monday) has say 3 hours and days 5 an 6 have none: you can end up with less cash than if you hadn't worked at all during the week. However hopefully your employer will be undersanding about work pattens like that.

Except perhaps initially, when the employer is asked to fill out a form for welfare saying that it's temp and/or part-time, what days/hours (they can say variable), and is it expected to be full time. It's possibly that a permanent 3 day, 39 hour week would be identified as "full time" at that stage.

After that, Welfare have no knowledge of how many hours you work, or what money you get: they just get a tick-sheet from you saying whether you worked that day or not, and they say that they will periodically cross-check that with your employer's records (I don't know if they do check or not).
