wifi problem

    hi i have an iphone 3gs with os 3.1.3
    i'm tryin to use the logitech touchmouse app, i have the server on my laptop and have tried to set up an adoc network between the iphone and laptop

    anytime i try to connect to the ad hoc, it says its connected on the iphone but the indicator that its connected to wifi doesnt come up in the top left corner

    any ideas

    ive got it to work through a router but dont know why it wont work with adhoc, i tried with the firewall off aswell
