    Hi there,
let a guy do the timing belt on my astra van. I now know he was in way beyond his depth. It seems he should have used a DTI and some other stuff. Anyway he thought it was 'timed' , it didnt start. Then they towed it and kaboom:eek:  Will not go into it any further except to say I need an engine, but when I did find a scrappy with one , he's selling it without the fuel pump. Seems thats a step backwards. Its a lovely van ( or was before this all happened), and its paid for , hence why I want to keep it. Still has the test / tax . Please any help advise:confused:

Firstly, don't allow anybody incompetent to "fix" your car.

If it was running ok before the incident you could remove the cylinder head from your own engine and replace the valves that are bent as a result of the camshaft timing being out.
    It's a big job..
