You can request a "charge back". They'll will have to prove you recieved the goods that you paid for.

Or you can complain to http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/

aw south east airsoft a name that can be trusted ....

so how do i go about a charge back?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,363 ✭✭✭gerrowadat

Contact your CC company and let them know you want a charge back on that transaction.

Actually, it may be quicker to call the shop and go "I am going to charge back that charge unless you sort me out now, on the phone".

Charge backs are a massive deal for shop and suppliers. Depending on their level of service with visa and their bank, a few chargbacks a month makes them unable to take credit cards.

This should never be the issue, there is no sense in feeling greedy, cheap or in any way guilty for demanding the service you paid for or a refund.

Get your money back and never buy from them again.

That’s the issue, I have asked a few times for a refund only to get “I will pass it onto the accounts department” by E mail and when I ring them I get fobbed off as well.
Was wondering if any one has any advice over how to deal with them as I have never ever had a problem with orders over the internet

This is slightly unusual. I've never had a problem with S&A, and have bought loads and loads of stuff from them.

Mentioning the magic word "chargeback" will get someone's attention though. It's the nuclear option of credit card sales.

how many time have you ordered of them oz ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,045 ✭✭✭OzCam

Four or five, at least. I only had one problem and it was sorted out quickly. It's likely that you ordered something he can't get in stock.

You're entitled to ask for a refund if the order can't be filled in a reasonable time.

Try www.survivalaids.com, www.flecktarn.co.uk, or www.asmc.de instead. SE Airsoft are agents for Begadi and can get in anything in their range.

Ok lads couldn’t get any one on the phone that would answer me so sent them a mail,
    Got the following response
“Hello, thank you for your email. I have therefore emailed accounts to
ensure your refund is issued in the next 24 - 48hrs. Thank you for your
    patience.
    Kind regards
    Val”

The normal **** and shock/horror its 48 hours later and no refund into my credit card!
So what exactly should I do just ring my credit card company and ask them to get me a charge back ??

    you ever do it ?

I worked for MBNA and yes, they do follow this up with gusto.

They have to because its not a MBNA thing its a visa/mastercard thing.

Part of the liscensing agreement for a credit card company to use visa/mastercard cards is to honour what the cards offer and they come with purchase protection in most cases up to like 500 quid but it varies from card type to card type. (same with AMEX).

So give customer services a ring (be nice they're just there to help :)) and explain the situation, they'll transfer you to the resolutions department and the ball will be rolling. It might take a while, but it will come back.

The only info you need is the name of the transaction (which should be on your statement).

Yep, have all the details to hand. The date and amount you paid, their business details, your invoice number and every email you've sent to them ( you maybe asked to prove you you made contact ).
There should also be a transaction number for that particular transaction, it will be on your credit card statement.

    Good Luck. :)
