    Hi all,

I applied for my grant back in September to County Dublin VEC and only recieved a letter regarding them processing it about 2 weeks ago. According to the letter i had forgotten to supply certain documents, one of which was a Maintenance Affidavit for my Mother about the maintenance she recieves from my Dad as they are seperated. I have received grants before from Fingal County Council and have never seen one of these forms, as have my brother and sister. I also don't remember mention of this when filling out the form for my grant to the VEC last year. I supplied a Seperatrion Agreement which states how much my Mam recieves each month from my Dad so i don't know why she has to go to a Solicitor and get this form signed. Now my Mam is all worried that they might be investigating her but we haven't done anything wrong. I'm entitled to this grant so can anyone tell me if they know anything about this Maintenance Affidavit, it does look a bit like they're questioning our finances but maybe it's just standard. I dunno! Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jen

It's nothing to worry about, but is required. you can go to a commisoner of oaths and get it stamped. there is a TD in tallaght cc offices some nights that can do this. and you may only have to give a donation. just use google to find him. Tell you ma to relax she has nothing to worry about its just a formality.
