Can only receive texts abroad

    Hi I was wondering if someone could help me.
    My brother is in Thailand, has a pay as you go Vodafone. He can only receive text messages, cant send them, can't make or receive calls. Can anyone explain why this might be? Thanks

    sounds like he doesn't have international roaming set up with vodafone?

    Does he have credit?

    Everything he cant do, requires credit on the account

    Thnaks guys. He has credit on the phone. I didn't think you had to set up roaming if you are pay as you go?

    Sounds like Vodafone has issues with roaming in Thailand... but that's only a guess and everyone here can only guess. I suggest you give Vodafone a call and ask them.

    As making or receiving calls is €1.99 a minute, not being able to do this may be mixed blessing.
