(Yes this is thread worthy as Valve have been so adamant about not wanting to develop games for the PS3 in the past, this is quite a turn around).

Don't get me wrong I like valves games, play them on my PC, but I don't particularly want them developing for the PS3 unless they really want to. Some of the things that they have said in the past have really made me question what they were hoping to achieve by saying them. I am lucky enough to have all the consoles, summer jobs are great, but I play the PS3 the 98% of the time. They have said before that there is no real friend atmosphere on the PS3 and I can help but think to myself what bloody PS3 were they using. I'm not saying I wouldn't welcome their games on my beloved console but for someone who have bitched multiple times about how difficult it is to develop for the PS3 I can't see it happening soon without there being a load of people pointing this out to them and having a little giggle at their expense, and they don't seem like the type of people who want that to happen.

And as I said before I think their games are great but what they claim as amazing graphics and super intelligent AI seem more to me like late PS2 graphics and really dumb ass AI. I feel that they would have to step it up a notch if they were to come and develop for the PS3.

I'm sure there are still a lot of people out there who will tell you that graphics don't mean anything but when I go from playing a game that looks amazing, Uncharted, Arkham Asylum even Gears of War(apart from the loading in of the characters when the are not detailed) and then I go and play L4D or Army of Two 40th day or the worst Operation Flashpoint I really feel like what the hell did I pay the same amount for this as I did the game that is spectacular looking. I'm not saying that every game has to have stunning visuals but if it looks like you put **** all effort into making the part I have to look at I'm not best pleased.

And now to finish after that far too long, what can only be describes as a, rant, I will say that once again I do in-fact like the games that Valve make and even steam a little bit.

Think that has always been their posistion they dont have the resources to develop on the PS3 and they where disapointed with the ports being done by others.

I dont mind much ive a 360 as well but it would be good to get a proper valve half life 3 when ever they get around to making it

This just means valve are open to the mind again on having another developer working on the PlayStation 3 console , Gabe Newell has to much time eating fatty foods to be working on the ps3 himself and there other staff expressed enough of there hate on the console to even think about working on it .. dont get your hopes up we wont get L4D and i have 1 and 2 anyways they were great at the start but they dont have enough content to last more than a week , hell they didnt even develop for the ps2 console with half life

Left 4 Dead was fun and for the 16 euro I paid for it, it gave me hours of great online gaming. L4D2 was boring though despite the new special infected. It was a cash cow for valve and it was more of an add on for the first installment than a newer, fresher game. Got bored of it real quick
