    https://myucd.ucd.ie/program.do?programID=52

    Entry Requirements:
    Irish*
    English
    Mathematics
    A third language
    Chemistry**
    One other recognised subject

Leaving Certficate: passes in six subjects including those shown above, of which two must be a minimum HC3.

*A-Level and other candidates from outside the Republic of Ireland are usually exempt from the Irish Language requirement.

**Minimum Grade C3 LC Higher Level

Please note: Biology at Leaving Certificate is not required but is strongly recommended.

(Dunno if anywhere else does vet med.)

I think I may know someone you. I know someone who used to lurk this forum and who wants to be a vet. Any chance you're from Limerick?

If you are who I think you are, you plan on studying in London and won't need HL Irish?

No, it's a specified requirement, you HAVE to have a third language.

jus wonderin are any of ye vets or vets in trainin ....?Nope most of us are doing our JC, though Fad is in college (UCD afaik), he doesn't do veterinary.

I checked on Qualifax and it appears you can only do veterinary medicine in UCD.

There is an information page on the course here.

As Fad already mentioned, the requirements are:

    - Irish
    - English
    - Mathematics
    - A third language (so yes, you have to do French)
    - Chemistry (at least Higher Level C3)
    - One other recognised subject.
    - Passes in six subjects including those shown above, of which two must be minimum Higher Level C3.
    - Please note: Biology at Leaving Certificate is not required but it is strongly recommended.
