Applying for driving test question

Ok, so I had been driving just using my provisional licence for 2 years and the third time I sent it off to get it renewed I got a letter back saying I needed proof that I had applied for a driving test. By the time this letter got back to me the expiration date on my provisional licence was up. My question now is that when I apply for my driving test :( my provisional licence is no longer valid. Does this mean I have to go through the whole rigmarole of theory test and eye test etc?

I'm terrified of driving which is why I keep putting it off but I realise I'll have to do it sooner or later, I'm 27, time to cop on I think

And don't forget your driver number. Some people leave that off the application form because the permit is out of date, but it'll be the same number on your new one anyway, and on your full licence too.
