Up until now, it was free to park on Campus after 5 or half past. Although from what I hear they have started charging 2 euro for this privilege. This will probably turn a fair few people of, even if it is only 2 euro. What do people think? Good thing or bad thing?

This is because of the retar**d thing the government brought in,in one of the last budgets. All staff at colleges and state bodies will have to begin charging for parking. Some places i think will be allocating to staff where they will pay an annual fee but because there is less spaces than staff in UCC they are charging two euro to use a car park space. It'll still be only UCC staff that will get the slot keys though.

Slightly OT, but lately, parking spaces have been as elusive as the Loch Ness monster, any time i drove past college road car park or perrotts inch car park, all i saw was the FULL sign glowing. Its a joke. That much spaces for thousands of students and staff. Of course they still think its the 1980s when hardly no student had a car, these days every fourth or fifth student will drive into college in a car.

Ya, any parking that near to college is snapped up. Monday to Thursday theres very little chance of getting a spot in Pouladuff for the park & ride either after 10 or half past. It seems to have gotten a lot worse this year, don't think it was as busy last year like.

There are hundreds of spaces free everyday at the Blackash car park which the Pouladuff bus also goes to. It'll cost you the price of a starbucks filter coffee.
