    Hey guys, how are we?

Apologies if this has been posted many times, I didn't know what to search for.

Regarding the theory test - I have a CD from 2008 borrowed from a friend, can I use this to practise? Is it outdated, do I have to buy a new one or will that do?

    Thanks:)

wee tip, get the book as well, read through that fully for the sections required, then start doing the CD tests. By doing only the practise tests on the CD you won't cover all the questions and may be caught out in the test. I had both book and CD, I read the book fully for all car questions then started the CD tests maybe 2-4 a nite for about half an hour then read the book again the day before my test, doesn't take long. And I got 40/40 in the test and I still half asleep.

Also in the test centre when your asked to give one or two answers on how to deal with the situation at a junction, the sign on the pic may appear to look like roads of equal importance, so just pull back in your seat again and look and you may find that it's actually junction ahead with roads of lesser importance. I noticed that in my test anyway.

Thanks a million. I have the book alright, got it last year through the post :)

In answer to your question, there have been significant changes to the test. The current edition of the book and CD is version 4, this is the only one you should use as some things you'll learn from earlier versions are now wrong.

I only used the dvd-rom and I did a couple of practice tests each night for the past 3 weeks. I did my test yesterday and got 39/40.

Edit to say, I was using the new dvd-rom. Once you get a fair amount of practice in there will be no surprises at the actual test.
